How to Maximize Your Galaxy Watch Battery Life
Battery life is often the biggest concern for smartwatch users. While the latest Galaxy Watch models have improved significantly, there are several settings you can adjust to get even more juice out of a single charge.
1. Choose OLED-Friendly Watch Faces
Since Galaxy Watches use AMOLED screens, black pixels actually turn off, consuming zero power. Using watch faces with deep black backgrounds (like our "Midnight Series") can save up to 20% battery life.
2. Manage Always-On Display (AOD)
AOD is beautiful, but it's a battery hog. Consider using "Raise to Wake" instead, or choose a watch face that has a very minimal AOD mode.
3. Tune Your Notifications
Every vibration and screen-on event for a notification uses power. Review your notification settings and only allow essential apps to buzz your wrist.
4. Heart Rate Monitoring Frequency
Continuous heart rate monitoring is great for health tracking but uses more battery. If you don't need second-by-second data, switch it to "Every 10 minutes" in the Health settings.
By following these simple steps, you can often extend your watch's battery life by an extra day or more!
